DGEO’s faculty scientific activities were linked to several projects funded by national and international entities including FCT (5 proj.), EU (1 proj.), Directorate General of Higher Education of Indonesia (2 proj.), Xunta de Galicia (1 proj.), Fundação C. Gulbenkian (1 proj.), Ministerio de Ciencia e Innovación, of Spain (1 proj.), and also to projects developed within international networks, such as Rede Iberoamericana en Mercadotecnia en Salud RIMS (1 proj.) and RED_I CCI (1 proj.). Other partnerships, concerning research activities, have been set forth with several foreign universities, namely of Léon, Fed.Rio Grande do Sul, Fed.Santa Maria, Fed.Piauí, Estad.Campinas, Shakhes Pajoh Research Institute(Iran), Belarusian State University. In addition, both faculty and students have been involved in research projects as a result of partnerships with public institutions, especially the Municipalities of Guimarães and Braga. Furthermore, several PhD theses are being developed in the context of research projects and/or partnerships with national and international public institutions or HEI.
